Privacy policy
Your X data never leaves your browser. Untweet has no server, no analytics, no telemetry and no account.
What it accesses
- Your x.com session, from a content script running on x.com, to read your own timelines and delete your own content at your request.
- X’s public JavaScript bundle on
abs.twimg.com, to read the identifiers its API currently expects.
What it stores
Locally, in chrome.storage.local on your own machine only:
- the current job (which items matched, what has been deleted, where the scan is)
- identifiers recovered from X’s bundle, cached for 6 hours
- the API capabilities it learned (transaction-id mode, feature flags)
- a count of deletions per month, for the free-plan allowance
- your Pro licence key, if you enter one
Exports (JSON, CSV, PDF) are generated in the browser and saved by you, to your machine.
What it sends
Requests to x.com — the same requests the X web app makes, from your own logged-in session. Your posts, likes and other X data go nowhere else.
If you buy Pro, the licence key you enter is sent to Dodo Payments (live.dodopayments.com), the payment provider that issued it, to check it is valid. This happens when you activate or remove the key, and about once a day afterwards. Nothing else is sent with it, and nothing is sent to us.
Removal
Uninstalling the extension deletes everything it stored.
